Our Mission

As the Office of Residence Life, we seek to create an environment that supports and enhances the curricular and co-curricular development of our students. We encourage students to become more self-aware, self-reliant, and actively engaged in campus life by providing a variety of educational, social, and personal growth opportunities. We seek to provide a residential environment that is culturally inclusive and celebrates the uniqueness and dignity of the individual while fostering an environment of mutual respect for diversity of backgrounds, beliefs, and identities.

This goal is best achieved through cooperation and collaboration. We work closely as a liaison with other departments at the College, including Facilities Management, Public Safety, Student Administrative Services, and Food Services and especially with offices like Student Activities, Counseling and Health Services. We also strive to work in conjuction with the Residence Hall Association, Student Senate, and other student organizations on campus (such as Peer Advisors) to improve the student experience. Equally important, we seek the input and assistance of our resident students to help make campus living as productive and beneficial as possible. It is a group effort wherein every individual contributes to progress for the common good of the campus community.
