Emerging Conceptual Scholarship publishes fresh or unique perspectives on the world of organizations and organizational life. Such scholarship is not restricted to traditional conceptual management research, but may also come from the world of critical management studies or it may come from such fields as psychology, sociology, linguistics, communication, anthropology, or the arts, to name a few. As long as it enlightens our understanding as social scientists of organizational or managerial life, it will be of interest.
Our goal is to present the best in contemporary emerging theoretical scholarship while fostering conversations across disciplinary and ideological divides. We provide a forum for emerging scholars as well as established ones to present their ideas and to offer fresh perspectives on current debates and practical insights on scholarly discourse. Unlike many other journals, we hope to avoid rigid orthodoxies in the process of publishing the best of theoretical organizational research and criticism.
