Posted October 28, 2009
As part of the Athenaeum Speaker Series, Assistant Professor of Psychology Jason Seacat presented his lecture, "Social Stigma, Stereotypes and Health Behavior," on October 22 in the D'Amour Library. Discussing how health-related social stigmas impact various individuals, Seacat explored how viewpoints from different schools of thought can help understand and improve health behaviors.
The Athenaeum Series is designed to provide a forum for communication, conversation, and discussion of scientific, literary, and other topics. Seacat's lecture was co-sponsored by the Western New England College Department of Psychology and D’Amour Library.
