Two Join Engineering Faculty

Western New England College President Dr. Anthony S. Caprio recently announced the appointments of two new members of the faculty at the College's School of Engineering.
Neeraj Magotra has been named Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering. An expert in digital signal/image processing and low power system technologies, Magrotra has more than 20 years experience in business and academia. Most recently, he worked as Senior Director of Systems & Architecture for Dallas-based Ambrado, a startup integrated multimedia solutions company. He’s also worked at Texas Instruments, Sandia National Laboratories, and the University of New Mexico. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, a M.S. from Kansas State University, and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay.
Michael J. Rust has been named Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering. Rust specializes in the development and application of micro and nanotechnologies to the fields of medicine and biology. He’s worked in the research and development of medical devices for Ohio-based AtriCure, Inc., and in device analysis for Texas Instruments. He holds a Ph.D. and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
Western New England College is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919.
