Late Night at D'Amour Library Fall Edition

Posted September 24, 2009

D’Amour Library, the Office of Information Technology, and Public Safety are pleased to announce Late Night at D’Amour Fall Edition. Beginning Monday, September 28, 2009 and continuing for the remainder of the semester, on a Monday through Friday basis, the BG26 computer lab on the ground floor of D’Amour will be open from 12:00 midnight until 7:45 AM for use by all current Western New England College students. This computer lab seats 38 and offers the full Microsoft Office suite, Internet access, and black and white printing. D’Amour Library will be closed during these early morning hours and no library services will be available. As always, the Library’s electronic resources will be accessible via the Web.

The safety of students using this study space is of paramount concern to the College. Security cameras have been positioned to monitor both the computer lab and the entrance to the building. Public Safety officers will conduct regular checks of this area through the night. Only registered students will have access to the building during the 12:00 midnight-7:45 AM period and access will be limited to the ground level. In order to use this room after D’Amour Library closes at 12:00 midnight you must have your college ID. For the late night time period, all students will be granted access rights to the employee entrance located on the parking lot side of the building (south end). Each student will have to enter and exit through this door and a record will be kept of all IDs read. Please note that a campus telephone is located just outside the room so Public Safety can be called should any emergency arise during these extended hours.
