The Office of Marketing and External Affairs

From direct mail viewbooks to email blasts, award-winning magazines to nationally publicized stories, the Office of Marketing and External Affairs publicizes news and information about the programs, events, and people at Western New England College.

Its staff communicates with a variety constituencies including:

Print and Electronic Publications

 

The office is responsible for producing print and electronic publications and web content to support the mission of the College assisting with recruitment, advancement, and community relations efforts. More than 400 printed publications are produced annually.

Public Relations

 The communications staff oversees publicity efforts to disseminate news and information about the College to the media and public. As part of the Division of Marketing and External Affairs, its Vice President, Barbara Campanella, serves as the primary spokesperson for the College

Community Relations

Through community relations efforts, the office coordinates events such as lectures, seminars, workshops, and political debates.

Visual Identity

The graphic design staff maintains oversite of the College's visual identity program. Consistent branding of the College helps to position it in the eyes of the many constituencies we serve. For prospective students, branding helps our publications and website to stand out among those of peer institutions. A consistent and recognizable visual identity also builds name recognition that strengthens the degrees of our alumni and furthers our growing national reputation.

To maintain continuity within branding and marketing efforts, the office has established the College's house rules of style guidelines for copy and graphics, including the use of the logo and name. These guidelines should be followed for both internal and external communications.
