I joined Western New England College in 2000 as the Director of Learning Beyond the Classroom and have had the privilege of watching this program evolve into a significant component of the educational experience that the College provides. I work with faculty, staff, and students in a variety of ways related to developing, implementing, and/or completing LBC experiences. I can help you to develop ideas into experiences and to guide you through the LBC process. I am available to meet with classes, groups, or individuals to discuss anything related to Learning Beyond the Classroom. If you have any questions or concerns regarding LBC or my department, please use my contact information to get in touch with me. |

Welcome to the Volunteer Connection Center! Through my position, I help students connect with various service opportunities in the Springfield communities. Whether you would like to volunteer by yourself or with your peers, I work with students to match their interests with the needs of the community. This helps to create a positive and educational experience. I also organize the Students Serving Students (S3) Mentoring program at Duggan Middle School and advise the Alternative Spring Break Program and the service organization C.A.R.E. In addition, I work with students who want to fulfill one of their Learning Beyond the Classroom requirements through service. Browse the website and look at the different opportunities offered. If you would like to set up an appointment, you can contact me via email or phone. |

Hello! I can answer any and every question students, faculty, and staff have about the LBC requirement and how to complete it. If students need someone to brainstorm experience ideas with, or check to see if their idea would fulfill one of their LBCs, they can contact me. I help students fill out the LBC Application, make sure everything is set before they start their experience, and clarify what needs to be in the reflection paper at the end. If faculty want to incorporate an LBC experience into their class, I can help to develop their ideas into an eligible experience. I am a part of the LBC process from start to finish. For any LBC needs I am the one to see! I also advise the student service organization C.A.R.E. Contact me via email or phone if you would like to set up an appointment. |
