
The field of electrical and computer engineering is the leader of the high tech revolution. DVD players, iPods, cell phones, digital cameras, deep space exploration, the electric car, and the Internet all have their roots in electrical engineering. And as technological advances continue at exponential rates, the need for electrical engineering professionals will increase. In fact, the National Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a 108 percent growth in electrical and computer engineering jobs over the next 10 years.
At Western New England College, you will receive a hands-on education that will prepare you to take on the electrical engineering challenges of tomorrow. Our newly renovated labs provide high tech equipment for you to hone your skills on. Beginning in your junior year you will choose a concentration in either computer or electrical engineering. You will then decide on a topic for your capstone Senior Design Project, where you will have the opportunity to work on a project for industry. This experience gives you tremendous professional experience working within an organization. Recently, our graduates have enjoyed a 100 percent job placement rate.
