Student Employment Online User Guide

In order to find Student Employment positions you must register with CareerCenter Online.

Once you have registered you will be able to search and apply for student employment opportunities.


Important

Following each step as described is important to get the correct results.  Be sure to read each step carefully and select the correct options.

Register with CareerCenter Online:

  1. From www.wnec.edu select Quick Link: MyWNEC. From Navigate WNEC select Student Employment or CareerCenter and click on CareerCenter Online.
  2. Click on Student and Select Click here to Register!
  3. Enter your personal and demographical information in the blank fields. All fields marked with an * are required.
  4. Select "Register."
  5. Complete the required information in each section by selecting "Edit." For Applicant Type, select "Student Employment-Work Study," if you have a Federal Work Study Award or "Student Employment-Institutional," if you don't have a Federal Work Study Award.  To select more than one Applicant Type, such as "Undergraduate,"hold down the Ctrl key as you select.
  6. Under Additional Information, selecting "Yes" will Allow Employer Viewing. This will enable potential employers to view your information.
  7. Under Miscellaneous Information, selecting "Yes" will enable college staff to release your information to potential employers.
  8. After all required information has been completed select "Continue" and "Submit Profile" for the CareerCenter's approval. You will receive an email notifying you of your approval.
  9. Select "Sign Out" to sign out of the database.
  10. After the CareerCenter approves your account, you may update your profile and any documents. You can search for jobs, save your searches and view your activity. 

Update Your Profile

  1. Visit CareerCenter Online at www.myinterfase.com/wnec/student and enter your User Name and Password.
  2. From the menu select My Account and click "My Profile" to update your information.
  3. Click "Edit" for the section containing the information you want to add to or change.
  4. Make the changes, then select "Save."
  5. Information in My Profile can be edited at any time.

Search for a Job

  1. Log in and from the menu select "Jobs" click on Job "Search."
  2. For Position Type select the type of job you are looking for such as Student Employment-Work Study, Student Employment-Institutional or Part-Time Job.
  3. Type the Organization Name of Western New England College to view all Jobs attached to the College.
  4. Select the "Job ID" to see more detailed information about the jobs.
  5. To apply, follow the Application Instructions.
  6. Search criteria can be saved by clicking on "Save  Search" (upper right hand corner of Search Results box).  After naming your search click on "Save".

View Saved Searches

  1. To view your saved searches, select "Home."
  2. Under "Quick Links", click "Saved Searches."
  3. Select a saved search to view the listings.
  4. To delete the saved search, click on the red X.
