Alumni Bus Trip to New York City

Saturday, November 21, 2009 8:00 A.M. - 10:30 P.M.
New York City The Western New England College Alumni Association invites you to get into the holiday spirit with a fun-filled day in New York City. See the world renowned store window displays, do some seasonal shopping, or just enjoy a day of sightseeing in the Big Apple with fellow alumni and family. The cost is $30 per person. The bus departs the Kevin S. Delbridge Welcome Center at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in New York at 11:30 a.m. It departs New York at 7:00 p.m. and returns to campus at 10:30 p.m. The trip is limited to the first 53 people who register and pay in full.

Rivers Arena Patrick McGarrity delivers an entertaining program that educates students on the importance of money management. Through light-hearted scenarios, humorous anecdotes and real-life stories, students learn to combat financial pitfalls with common sense strategies. Students will learn about fiscal responsibility as Patrick addresses avoiding credit card debt, preventing identity theft, and managing student loans. Select students will get the opportunity to enter the "Big Money Machine" filled with over $500 in cash.

Hockey Alumni Weekend

Smead Arena, Springfield, MA Mark the 29th year of Golden Bear Ice Hockey by watching the undergraduate team play Salve Regina at 1:45 p.m. at Smead Arena and then participating in the alumni game at 4:00 p.m. RSVP to gheffernan@wnec.edu by November 21. For those needing accommodations, a section of rooms has been blocked off at the Hampton Inn in West Springfield for both Friday and Saturday nights. To take advantage of the rate of $89 a night, make your reservation no later than November 21, mentioning the College's hockey alumni rate.
