2008 Reaccredication Report Cites “Best Practices”
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International recently announced that the Western New England College School of Business has earned full re-accreditation. The first five-year review included submitting self-assessment reports and undergoing an intensive peer review campus visit. In December, we received confirmation that the Western New England College School of Business continues to meet the high standards set forth by AACSB International.
In its 2008 report on the School, AACSB International site evaluators noted the following examples of exceptionally effective practices that demonstrate leadership and high quality continuous improvement in management education.
1) Unique Cross Campus Linkage—Through cross-disciplinary programs, students benefit from the combined expertise of both business faculty and professors from the College’s other schools. Such collaborations have included working with the School of Law to help local entrepreneurs build their businesses, and new product development with faculty and students from the School of Engineering.
2) SAP Integration in the Curriculum—the School was noted for the use of SAP planning software as an educational backbone for numerous courses. SAP expertise will make our graduates highly marketable in the workforce.
3) Individualized Service of Students—The report cited the development a culture and environment where the individualized service of students is a core fabric of the School.
