A successful business leader, entrepreneur, author, and activist, Holmes spoke on women, ethnicity, and entrepreneurship, the theme of this year's conference. The annual event brings together experts from a variety of fields to discuss the challenges facing small businesses. A series of panels discussed issues surrounding access to social capital, access to opportunity (below), and access to financial capital.

Jackson discussed the difficulties companies face when going global and how different cultures need to be taken into consideration when developing and marketing products abroad. “It was very important to understand where people are culturally as it related to games or whatever it is you are selling because they may have a very different cultural norms,” said Jackson. “There is so much effort that goes into marketing products that its very easy to slip into a one size fits all mentality.”
