The International Business Breakfast took place on November 4 in Rivers Memorial Hall. During the breakfast, Philip C. Jackson, global brand leader and group executive of Hasbro, spoke on "Managing a Global Business for Western Massachusetts".

dsc_0403jpgJackson discussed the difficulties companies face when going global and how different cultures need to be taken into consideration when developing and marketing products abroad. “It was very important to understand where people are culturally as it related to games or whatever it is you are selling because they may have a very different cultural norms,” said Jackson. “There is so much effort that goes into marketing products that its very easy to slip into a one size fits all mentality.”

The International Business Breakfast was co-sponsored by the School of Business and D’Amour Library.
