Welcome to the e-CHUG, a valuable tool for all students, faculty and staff. The e-CHUG is an online, STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL self-assessment survey which takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. The e-CHUG is designed to serve as a 'check-up', providing you with personalized feedback about your alcohol use. All responses are confidential and your name is not attached to this assessment in any way so no one will view your feedback but you. Answering each question truthfully and accurately will give you helpful feedback regarding your individual pattern of alcohol use and how it might be affecting your personal relationships, life and career goals, academic success and your overall health and well being. The results are immediate and can be read online and/or printed out. You can also print out a certificate of completion if this program has been assigned in a class or as a sanction.

What does the e-CHUG do?
When you access the e-CHUG, you are prompted to enter information about yourself. In addition to demographic information, you will be prompted to enter information about your drinking habits, family history, and to complete the World Health Organization’s AUDIT.
After all information has been entered, you submit the form. The information you have entered is then validated and processed. The e-CHUG calculates a number of variables and compares your responses to national and Western New England College norms. Then, your personalized feedback is displayed in an easy to read format.
